Evoke is a jewelry brand specializing in the unique technique of inlaying crystals on gold.
This technique is used to create jewelry items featuring one side of gold and the other of ‘macrostal’ – small crystals closely inlaid to create a macro-crystal. The main branding challenge was obtaining permission for co-branding between Evoke and crystal giant Swarovski.
To our delight, the success reached dizzying heights. The pilot project, comprising 40 points of sale in the UK, grew rapidly to 400 points of sale.
In the USA, contracts have recently been signed with Sears, JC Penney and Macy’s, comprising a total of more than 1,500 points of sale. However, in the USA, the name ‘Evoke’ was not well-received in focus groups, so the brand adopted the name ‘Gold ‘N’ Ice’. The branding as a whole illustrates the concept of the two sides of the jewelry piece.
