Yahaloma Levi, a well-known Tel Aviv personality, dreamt of opening a special place of her own.
To fulfill that dream, we worked together with Yahaloma for the launch of the first ‘Bistron’.
What is a ‘Bistron’? Well, it’s a combination between a bistro and cafeteria (in Hebrew, miznon). It’s also supposed to mediate between the simple and the refined, the accessible and the sophisticated, the small and the global. But this non-conflicting contradiction also reflects Yahaloma the person, Yahaloma the place, and – we hope – also Yahaloma the brand.
The inspiration for the brand language comes from the world of ‘downtown’, of posters and the street culture. The logo design was inspired by neon signs, together with a more refined typographical language, to create a perfect balance.
